  • Who can be a CNA?

Almost anyone can become a CNA if they meet the following requirements:

  • be at least 17 years of age
    have a valid government issued identification card and social security card
    have a GED or high school diploma (transcript will suffice)
    complete and pass a background check
    have a negative PPD/TB skin test within the last one year
    COVID/FLU vaccine or declination

  • What does the CNA course offer?

The CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training course offered by J&P Healthcare Academy is a comprehensive program designed to prepare students for a career as a CNA. The course includes both classroom and hands-on training, covering topics such as patient care, infection control, vital signs, and communication skills. Our experienced instructors provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their future career as a CNA. Upon completion of the course, students are eligible to take the CNA certification exam and begin working in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

  • How much is the CNA course and long does it take to complete?

The CNA Course cost $2,500 and it is all inclusive (uniform, background check, books, ID badge, drug test). There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.

The course takes 4-5 week to complete.

We have a day course and an evening course.

Day course hours are:

Classroom: Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 2:00pm

Clinical: Monday - Thursday 6:30am to 2:00pm

Evening course hours are:

Classroom: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm to 10:00pm

Clinical: Monday - Thursday 10:00am to 6:30pm

  • Is there a payment plan or any scholarships available?

Yes there is an option to setup a payment, if this option is selected upon approval to enter the course, details will be provided at that time.

Unfortunately, we do have any scholarships available at this time.

  • Do you travel to complete CPR classes? Do you offer group CPR classes? Do you offer CPR recertification courses?

Yes, we are willing to travel to an organization if they request that we do so, but there is a fee to travel more than 20 miles from our facility. 

Yes we group CPR courses for individuals or facilities.

Yes we offer recertification courses, but if you did not receive your original certification from us, you will need to show proof and it has to be current.
